Description of the Project:

Planco had been undertaking a project to upgrade solid waste management in Aswan for some years. The Egyptian Government had decreed that Aswan and some other Governorates should contract private secor companies to provide solid waste management services. The task of the project was to evaluate the current status and to suggest ways of developing closer links with government departments at national level.
