Description of the Project:
The Government of Egypt has decided that solid waste management services are to be provided by the private sector in a number of designated Governorates. The proposal that was being appraised concerned a proposal that GTZ provide support for this initiative at the national level. This project was the first stage of a two-stage appraisal process.

- Discussion of proposals with stakeholders
- Preparation of interim report
