Disruptive times offer opportunities if approached with agility, clear vision, relevant expertise, the right tools and, most importantly, reliable partnerships.

SKAT’s new strategy, developed in 2025, provides a clear direction in an increasingly complex landscape of international cooperation. Our core areas of competence – Water & Environmental Services, Energy & Climate, Building and Governance – remain vital. The Annual Report has several concrete examples of how we combine knowledge across these four core competencies and create a lasting impact with our partners.
From integrated water resources management in the Balkans, to evaluating an accelerated energy transition initiative in Tunisia and zero emissions buildings in China, SKAT also explores the potential for reuse of concrete for circular reconstruction in Ukraine. We continue to strengthen local governance and public services in Moldova.
Our deep understanding of project management and local contexts enabled us to deliver sustainable solutions and long-lasting impact for governments, the private sector, and civil society. We look forward to expanding our partnerships and enhancing our collective impact.
