The PSP Hydro project, carried out in the framework of the Energising Development (EnDev) Rwanda Program, aims to provide access to electricity. The Program provides “viability gap financing” and technical assistance for small and medium-sized businesses to install and operate micro hydropower plants.
Objective: Guarantee good quality and safety of the privately financed hydropower systems and of the GIZ-supported RE village grids.
Services provided by Skat: Crosschecking and review of technical design studies, recommendations for improvements; assessment of financial and economic studies / cost estimates. Revision of design criteria and commissioning checklist for PV and hydro village grids. Preparation of performance check guideline for mini and small hydropower systems.
