Zero Emissions Building China

This publication provides an overview of the Zero Emissions Building China (ZEB-China) project. The ZEB-China project aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from China’s building sector through support for three project outcomes:

1. New Chinese ZEB standards with more ambitions emissions targets
2. Demonstration projects providing practical examples of technical solutions for building emissions reduction and compliance with new ZEB standards
3. Training for Chinese authorities, building professionals, and students to build knowledge and capacities regarding ZEB standards and solutions

The publication describes the context of Swiss and Chinese efforts to mitigate building sector emissions and highlights contributions of the ZEB-China project. It describes ZEB solutions addressed in demonstration projects and training and presents the eight demonstration projects located throughout China in three different climate zones. The publication thus consolidates the results of the ZEB-China project while providing an overview of important ZEB topics and solutions.
