  • hydrological assessments of hydropower sites and reconnaissance studies combined with training of local experts on site identification, installation of gauging stations and discharge measurements (e.g. in Tanzania, Rwanda, Liberia, Guinea, the Caribbean and Albania)
  • establishment of sustainable institutional set-ups for operation and management of hydropower projects and promotion of productive use of energy in Indonesia (GIZ, 2006-2011) and in Tajikistan (ADB, 2007-2009)
  • analyses of legal, regulatory and policy aspects of rural energy projects e.g. in Ethiopia, Nepal, Tajikistan and Morocco.
  • training of Tunisian experts on hydropower use in the water supply systems (GIZ, 2012)
