Skat Consulting will provide sanitary units for households that host refugees from Ukraine in rural Moldova.

The solidarity of the Moldovan population with Ukrainians fleeing the war is remarkable: the majority of the 100’000 refugees residing in Moldova is accomodated by households in cities and villages all over the country. However, living conditions in villages are often very basic. The Swiss Cooperation (SDC) has now mandated Skat to improve the sanitary conditions in around 600 households hosting refugees.

Our work will built on a decade experience with water and sanitation in Moldovan villages. The support will alleviate the situation of Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, provide a recognition to host families of their efforts and contribute to better sanitation in villages in the long-term.
