Description of the Project:

Assessment of the health care waste management situation in the country’s hospitals and health centres after the Dec. 2004 tsunami. Elaboration of an action plan towards the development of a national HCWM plan, formulation of an immediate action plan including capacity building, introduction of basic waste separation practices, improved sharps management and appropriate waste treatment and disposal solutions.
