Water Management: Water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)

Skat combines technical expertise with an understanding of the economic, social, environmental and institutional context within which people use water, sanitation and solid waste management systems.

We are committed to SDG6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all and the Human Rights to Water and Sanitation. To do this, we work collaboratively or independently. Skat is a leading centre of excellence in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). Our approach is based on putting the needs and rights of citizens first, whether through supporting community managed systems or strengthening government and private sector capacity to support or deliver services. We help clients deliver a wide range of development goals, through direct project implementation, technical support, training, research, knowledge sharing and evaluation. We provide services to support Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) activities from strategic development at the national level to preparation of training manuals and monitoring implementation of WASH activities at the field level, with an emphasis on community-led WASH improvements.
