External evaluation of Medicus Mundi Switzerland

Skat was mandated to conduct an external evaluation of the network Medicus Mundi Switzerland. The objective of the evaluation was to assess the results of the network Medicus Mundi Switzerland with regards to addressing the challenges faced by the global and international health sector.
Sphere for Evaluators

Skat has been commissioned to design and prepare guidelines “Sphere for Evaluators” on how to use the Sphere Handbook in monitoring and evaluation activities.
Revision of Sphere Standards and Indicators

During the first half of 2010, Skat provided advisory services to the Sphere Handbook revision for the 2010 edition. The services included improving the quality of key indicators to show whether the minimum standards in humanitarian work have been attained. The key indicators provide a way of measuring and communicating processes and results of key actions.
E-learning course on Network Management

Under the initiative of Skat and SBA (Sustainable Business Associates), an E-learning Course on Network Management was developed based on conceptual and methodological understandings of network management following the scheme of the guide “Work the Net” compiled by Skat in 2006. The main goal of the course is to build on the conceptual and methodological understanding of network management by using different theoretical and practical e-learning tools.
Impact Assessment on Civil Society Index

During the months of October 2009 and January 2010, Skat conducted an impact assessment of the Civil Society Index (CSI), Phase 2003 – 2006 from CIVICUS – World Alliance for Citizen Participation. CSI is a participatory needs assessment and action planning tool for civil society around the world, with the aim of creating a knowledge base and momentum for initiatives to strengthen civil society.
Assessment of institutional capacities for setting up a network

Skat was mandated by GTZ and CETESB to carry out an assessment of the institutional capacities of local and national organizations with the objective of recommending the most suited ones to become the network’s secretariat.
KM4Dev Transitional Year

Skat, together with Helvetas and the Core Group of the KM4Dev Community of Practice. facilitated the management of the transition year by providing expert support on network management.
Knowledge Audit of an HIV/AIDS Network
